We love when students can pull a book off a shelf and recognize the author's name--because it's their own teacher!

Forest Elementary School third-grade teacher Stacey Giaquinto saw her first children's book published last month. "Sticky Green Noses Help Save the Brook" tells the story of how two young boys can make a difference. The boys see more than water in the brook near their house — they see a lot of garbage that does not belong. Luckily, they are able to get some help with cleaning up the polluted brook while sending out the message of how important it is not to litter.
