Daughter of alumnus/Edible Arrangements co-founder serves as mystery reader

This is the image for the news article titled Daughter of alumnus/Edible Arrangements co-founder serves as mystery readerA Forest kindergarten class had a special mystery reader June 4 when Salma Farid, daughter of Forest alumnus and Edible Arrangements co-founder Kamran Farid, visited with two of her favorite books. Salma, 8, read "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie" and "Tap the Magic Tree" and donated both books to the classroom. Her little sister, Zairah, was her helper during the visit.

Kamran Farid recently donated $5,000 to Forest's ELL (English Language Learner) classroom for 11 sets of iPad minis, headsets, keyboards and cases and additional funding to start a food backpack program for students in need. He and two of his daughters visited Forest in May to see how the technology is being used in the ELL classroom.
