This is the image for the news article titled Forest commended by state & BOE for school progressForest Elementary School was recently recognized by the State Department of Education based on results of the state's Next Generation Accountability System report. The school was commended for the performance of all students, as well as the performance of students in high needs subgroups, in English Language Arts and Mathematics.

Teachers and staff received a celebratory lunch in May, and Superintendent Neil Cavallaro, Assistant Superintendent Anne Druzolowski, Board of Education Chairman James Morrissey, Board of Education members Susan Walker and Rosa Richardson, Mayor Edward O'Brien and City Clerk Deborah Collins came to the school to visit with teachers and see classroom lessons in action.


Principal Hunt also spoke about teaching and learning at Forest at the May 16 Board of Education meeting. Board members congratulated the Forest community on the accomplishments and happy news.
