The West Haven Board of Education adopted a dress code for Forest Elementary School May 7, 2012. The dress code went into effect in the 2012-2013 school year. This was a pilot program for the district and was considered with help from Forest's School Governance Council.
A dress code will still be followed at Forest this upcoming school year, 2017-2018, and this year's School Climate Surveys will seek input on the dress code for future consideration.
Students must follow the dress code each day. NO T-shirts, tank tops, spaghetti straps, hoodies, logo wear, or jeans. Shirts or blouses with collars are required at all times.
